We have used the GHG electronic timekeeping system with great results since 2004. JES Tech is an aerospace contractor, primarily supporting NASA Johnson Space Center. Our company was just starting out and we were faced with the challenge of establishing our credibility and professionalism to potential large business clients. We were able to make an immediate positive impression by having an electronic time keeping system and the other electronic management tools that came with eEMS.
I recall the day when the GHG software was demonstrated to JES Tech. After seeing all the utilities and functions that were available, we were very impressed! We were equally certain that we could not afford such a robust suite of management tools to run our 30 person company. Were we wrong! We initially signed up for the time keeping module! Our small business was able to bring a world class time and attendance tool to bear for our internal operations and providing support to our clientele. The clients love the web-based availability of project time charging information, our employees love the convenience of the electronic pay stubs and the DCAA loves the date and time stamp of all timesheet entries.

Needless to say, auditing timesheets wasn’t easy. We were looking to automate our timekeeping system and GHG offered the best solution at the most reasonable price. Our previous timekeeping system was less efficient, time consuming and expensive to maintain. GHG, on the other hand, was most willing to configure the system according to our needs. Having an automated and compliant system helped our daily timekeeping operation. Our staff can access the data anytime, and if errors occur, they can correct it immediately. RISD needed to keep up with employee attendance as well as with state and local vacation and holidays. With GHG’s software, we are able to keep up with the attendance/hours worked/leave of our employees. We are also able to export files into our payroll system. We had an urgent need to host our Employee Direct Deposit (DD) Statement Information. The current business process of printing and distributing DD statements was very inefficient. We were unnecessarily printing and distributing Direct Deposit statements for thousands of employees each month incurring enormous hard and soft costs. We were encouraged to use GHG because of the software’s quick implementation, tight security, simplicity, flexibility, and cost. We have been with GHG 2005. GHG is committed to success. Their staff is very knowledgeable and courteous. Unlike other vendors which would have told us that a security licensing issue wasn’t their burden, GHG worked with us till the issue was resolved with little or no compensation for their work. We sought GHG to find a better way to meet the needs of our staff. We needed to reduce the costs associated with mailing, printing and reprinting upon request direct deposit stubs for a growing employee base. Our software provider GMS utilizes the services of GHG, so we knew the systems would be compatible. The use of the electronic pay Stub Solution software improved operations by streamlining a labor intensive process and providing employees an opportunity to view and print at will months of paystub data in a secure environment. GHG’s software improved our economy and efficiency; the products are user friendly and the service is excellent.

Fort Bend County was prompt into looking for an automated time keeping system to help reduce paperwork and supervisor’s time manually entering employees’ time. An RFP was sent and four vendors were chosen for a demonstration. What Fort Bend County liked about GHG was the personal service and reasonable price offered. Ultimately, the time keeping system helped Fort Bend County managers organize their employees. Instead of looking to see what time employees were coming to work, now, the managers/supervisors can easily pull their time sheet up to review. We also use this tool for employee evaluations. The two most significant improvements since moving to GHG is the accuracy of our payroll and limited corrections submitted after payroll is completed. It’s nice that every time we need GHG for support, we get the same person to assist; the Customer Service Representative knows our issues and our business rules. The system has been reliable; Fort Bend County has over 20 pay codes with numerous business rules; the system has always been able to accommodate our needs.

Our accounting business needed to automate timesheets with added flexibility. Manually tracking time for over 25 employees had become too time-consuming and inaccurate. A business associate recommended GHG; we were convinced after observing its product presentation and learning about its affordability. As an accounting firm, data accuracy is highly important and GHG has proven to be a reliable source for retrieving data for specific queries, based on my set-up for customers, in-direct costs, and leave usage. The product is as useful for me now as it was when we purchased the product five years ago. It’s highly user-friendly, easy to set-up, and very cost effective – not to mention – GHG customer support is outstanding. They have always known who we are as a business. Every time I log into GHG, I once again anticipate a pleasurable experience being back in the product. The export functionality into existing government accounting software is that easy.

GHG’s system is easy to use and gives me the flexibility to make changes for employee and program needs. Custom reports were developed to meet specific needs when downloading while other reports are easily assessed each pay period for audits. The software keeps us compliant with timekeeping of various programs and work environments while cutting down manual entry time and possible human error, a cost savings. Prior to using GHG timesheet all timecards were handwritten and then had to be entered into excel spreadsheets for download into our payroll system. Using the electronic system is accurate and dependable. PTO and Sick Leave were also manual entries into a database and were always “after the fact”, which constantly resulted in usage of time an employee might not have. Now employees have immediate balances at their fingertips resulting in fewer questions and phone calls, and more accuracy.
I would describe GHG’s product as easy for employees to use and submit, easy to access from home or work location, easy for Supervisors to approve prior to pay period ending. Once all timesheets are completed it is very easy to pull our report and begin our payroll process. Manual entry and mistakes are no more. We have the capability of creating numerous pay codes so that accounting charges are accurate for all employee programs. Employees can access current and prior timesheets along with creating future timesheets when necessary. They can be printed if needed for files or audit purposes. We have used this system since January 2006. When and if support is needed, they respond quickly and are always courteous and dependable. Each person at GHG I have come into contact with over the years has been helpful. If the needs of our Agency change and custom reports must be revised, the report writers and tech’s assist me promptly and courteously. We have been very happy with their software and plan on continuing its usage in the future.
