Employee Timesheet Management Solutions
2012 Subcontractor of the Year (OSBP)
GHG Corporation has 30+ years of experience creating time & attendance tracking software.
GHG Corporation was founded in 1979 by Israel Galvan, Jose Hernandez and Robert Gilbert, originally as an engineering services organization.
Our Story
GHG’s timekeeping software originated in-house, and thanks to his work experience with IBM, Galvan understood how to integrate computer components to make an integrated system. He met two other individuals, Jose Hernandez and Robert Gilbert, and together they decided they could put together SCADA systems to help manage water and waste water treatment plants. In 1985, Hernandez and Gilbert left amid an economic downturn and Galvan became the sole owner of GHG. Galvan went back to his roots and did some consulting work for IBM, and through that he was introduced to working at the NASA – Johnson Space Center in Houston in 1984. GHG began focusing on NASA as a customer and the business grew. Galvan was an entrepreneur at heart, so he was interested in doing work outside of NASA in the commercial sector.
In 1995, GHG started an Internet Service Provider (ISP) business supporting the Houston area. The ISP business was successful and it allowed GHG to establish an organization to support software and customers. As the ISP business was starting to slow down, due to high speed access, GHG had developed a software product for allowing its employees to fill out a timesheet via the web. GHG had employees spread out over many office locations, due to its success with NASA, so we developed the software to better capture our employees hours worked. Once GHG started using the software, Galvan realized that other companies could benefit from using it. GHG then used its existing infrastructure from its ISP to support the starting of the time and attendance software (eTSS) and online pay stub software (ePSS). The ISP phased out completely in 2001 with the addition of GB Tech, MRI Technologies and Cimmaron signing on as clients, and the time and attendance group replaced it. 12 years and 950 customers later, eTSS continues to be a leading provider of timekeeping solutions in the US.
