ORGANIZATION
This data element can be the name of your company, business, firm, or association. If separate business entities apply, a breakdown here would be apprpriate

GROUP
Use this data element to specify your firm's overall structure. This data element displays the group(s)/department(s) to which the employee is currently assigned. This association can be one or many. 1 employee may belong to 1 or more group(s). Groups may be be broken down into subgroups, which may be broken into subgroups and so on.

CHARGE CODE
This data element allows you to define, track and report any combination of projects, phases, tasks, and billing categories on your timesheet. The charge code, which is usually a general ledger account, is an identifier to which time is assigned. For example, an employee working a standard 40-hour work week, would record hours worked to an applicable charge code.

PAY TYPE
This data element differentiates the various pay categories such as regular, overtime, vacation, jury duty, etc. This element is used to distinguish productive and non-productive hours

TASK
This data element allows for a further breakdown of charge codes if required.
MANAGER /SUPERVISOR
This is the person that is responsible for approving the time entered on an employee¡¯s timesheet. The manager will have read/write access to each employees timesheet in the selected groups defined in number 5 above.

START/ END DATES
This is the date that you want the item to become visible to the employees. There are start dates for items the first five data elements above and the associations pertaining to those data fields as well. Common practice is to use the first day of the week or the first day of the month when entering start dates.

ROLE
Each user by default is assigned the role of employee. Additional roles may be assigned as needed
Accounting - responisible for entering charge codes, pay types, tasks also maintains associations and imports/exports data to/from eTSS
Administrator - responsible for the configuration of the system
News Editor - responsible for entering news on the main login page that is viewed by all users
Reporter - reposnible for running/building report
Supervisor - responsible for approving timesheets and approving leave on timesheets per assigned group
